ReelMotion Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ReelMotion collects, uses, discloses, shares, and retains information when you use the ReelMotion iOS app, including photos that may contain face likeness and data sent to third-party AI processors.

1. Data controller

ReelMotion is published by Techpede. Contact: support@techpede.com.

2. Information we collect

• Device identifier used for account and credit management.
• In-app purchase and credit status from Apple for billing verification.
• Generation metadata such as template ID, quality, duration, prompts, and job status.
• Photos you choose to upload for AI features (see Face Data & Photos below).
• Text prompts you enter for text-to-video generation.
• Server logs for reliability, fraud prevention, and security.

3. Face data and photos

ReelMotion does not use the device camera for continuous face scanning, does not perform on-device biometric face recognition, and does not create a faceprint or biometric template for authentication.

What face data we collect: When you choose a photo from your photo library for Image-to-Video effects or Background Removal, that photo may depict a person’s face or likeness. We treat such photos as sensitive personal content (“face data” for App Store purposes means the image content you upload that may include a face).

How we collect it: Only when you explicitly select a photo in the app and confirm processing. We do not access your photo library in the background.

Planned uses of face data / photos:

• Generate AI video effects from your selected photo (Image-to-Video).
• Optionally remove the background from your photo before video generation, if you enable that option.
• Standalone background removal to produce a transparent PNG cutout.
• Deliver the finished video or cutout back to your device.

We do not use uploaded photos for advertising, marketing profiles, selling datasets, training our own public models, or identifying people across other apps.

4. Sharing with third-party AI services

To provide AI features, ReelMotion must transmit certain data to third-party processors. Before any photo (including face likeness) is shared, the app shows an in-app disclosure and asks for your permission.

Who receives what:

• PixVerse — receives your selected photo for Image-to-Video generation, and/or your text prompt for Text-to-Video generation.
• PicWish — receives your selected photo when background removal is requested (standalone tool or optional pre-processing for video effects).
• OpenAI — may receive your text prompt only (not photos) for optional prompt enhancement on Text-to-Video.
• Supabase — hosts our API, database, and authentication. Input photos are relayed for processing and are not stored in our Supabase media storage.
• Apple — processes Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases.

These processors receive data only to complete the feature you requested. Their handling of data is also governed by their own privacy policies and contractual terms with us.

5. Storage and retention of face data / photos

• On our servers: We do not store your uploaded input photos in Supabase Storage. Photos are processed in memory for the generation job.
• On your device: Finished videos and background-removed PNGs are saved locally on your iPhone/iPad for playback and sharing.
• Job metadata: We retain generation records (template, status, timestamps, output CDN URL references) as needed for account history, support, abuse prevention, and accounting.
• Third-party retention: PixVerse and PicWish may temporarily process and retain media only as needed to complete the request under their policies. We do not instruct them to keep your photos for marketing.
• How long: Input photos are retained by ReelMotion only for the duration of processing the request. Local outputs remain on your device until you delete them. Account/metadata may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, security, and accounting purposes. Contact support@techpede.com to request deletion assistance.

6. Generated media

• Generated videos and background-removed images are saved on your device.
• ReelMotion does not store your final generated videos in Supabase Storage.
• Output files may temporarily exist on third-party CDN links used to deliver the result to your device.

7. How we use data

• Provide app features and generation results.
• Verify purchases and allocate credits.
• Detect abuse and protect service integrity.
• Improve app performance and reliability.

8. Children

ReelMotion is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will investigate.

9. International transfers

Service providers may process data in countries outside your own jurisdiction, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
